Not really crafty WOYWW

As you can see this is not my craft desk! Just thought I would take a short break to show you what is on my desk - my MBA dissertation in full flow. Nearly ready for first submission now. I am going to read through it on the train to Durham tomorrow as I won't be disturbed, and I will no doubt come back with lots of revisions to do to it.
Thanks to everyone for messages of support - it really helps. I should have listened when my tutor said don't leave it all to write in one go. But I just find it easier to go with it than keep leaving off - it would be like starting to make a card and doing it over several weeks - where would your mojo be LOL!! The picture on the wall is from Zorana and I find it very comforting. It says "Love is above all the gift of oneself" I read this when I think I am not working hard enough and realise, yes I am, ease up a bit.

woah! I am impressed - an MBA dissertation. I was just having a closer squint at the references to see if I could see anything useful as I am doing an MSc in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care - what's the title of your dissertation? (am glad I looked even though it's not a crafty desk!)

Linby - I wanted to reply to your comment by email cos your MBA title sounds interesting - but I got the blogger-no-reply thingie - would you be willing to share your email with me!?

Oh, I've never written a dissertation (!) but feel that doing it in pieces would make for a lot more'd never get a flow on and your arguments might end up in out of context chunks. Huh? That's why - I've never got anything coherent to say!
Keep going....we are so looking forward to seeing you over the finish line.

Your work desk is so organised - I used to have a mantra a work - tidy desk tidy mind. That's why I was always all over the place lol!!!!

Hi Linby - yeh, go with the flow - I did mine in one go but found that doing a table of contents helped - almost like a map of what you want to acheive overall. What is the hypothesis? Once I stated mine I couln't stop and ended up busting the 20,000 word count. I had to present the overall findings with one of the scrutiny committees at work (when I worked for the Council) as they were interested in my subject matter. I'll be thinking of you right until you hand it in as I know how hard you must be working to get it done. Once you've done it you'll never look back - like passing your driving test!!!

hugs of support

Hey a desk is a desk! Last week I showed everyone my sofa as that's where I'd been all week! Hope everything goes well and you get to breath a big sigh of relief when it's done. Say hello to Durham for me, I miss my home city!

You are working so hard on your diss. It's kinda good to have something to focus on that centres you again and the picture works for you. Believe me, when it's done, you'll have all that spare time and a great sense of achievement. I know I was so happy to put my final full stop on the last page of mine....
