LIM - sentiment focus

My SU "word" stamps came to mind as soon as I saw this weeks Less is More challenge, but what to frame it with? I've used a butterfly from SU set "Butterfly prints" and the flower from SU "flight of the butterfly". I then added a little bling to the flowers as it seemed a bit too plain.
This was what I was aiming for the first time -but I got ink on the edge of the stamp and so added a row of flowers to cover it.
I also learnt today that the butterfly "body" goes over the butterfly - doh! You can see I got it right second time around.
After a week away on an intensive course I am finding it difficult to get back into creating. I've been studying LEAN in a bid to become a practitioner - assuming I pass my exams. Now for those of you that think I am a glutton for punishment after just finishing an MBA - this is a new role I have at work and so am required to undertake the training. I had my crafting head on whilst away! They were talking about "dies" in an article relating to Toyota, I assumed it meant engineering dies -die cuts- just like the cuttlebug but on a bigger scale- it was only on the second day I realised they meant colour dies!

Fab cards Linby, both of them. The SU sentiment is perfect and I love how you framed it on each card, and I love the serene blue tones too. Good luck on your course!

Love both cards! I'm always nervous when stamping direct on to the card tho and I often catch the edge - nice cover up tho. Hope you're finding time to enjoy the sunshine and not studying too hard!

The first one is fab Linby! Love your comment about the dies, hehe! x

Absolutely gorgeous! The first one has the edge for me too, but a great way to cover a smudge - I have done that so often recently. I need to tidy my craft space I think!

Your card caught my eye as I was scanning the entries - it's so elegant. I also often end up smudging the stamp when I stamp direct onto the card blank! Sarah

Hi Lin, yep that's me, more often than not I'm covering something up :-/ Beautiful card, it's so hard to do the LIM type I think; I may yet have a go and join in.
Good luck with the training. It was an easy mistake to make about the dies :-)
