Anything goes

We have quite a few people leaving at work under voluntary redundancy. Many are going to use the money to do something they have always wanted to do. I've made this card with that in mind and added a "bon voyage". I started by using ink dusters through a nestie to make the circle background and then added various T Holtz stamps using the hydrangea big and juicy stamp pad. The I added some scroll stamps and music and dragonfly from another stamp set. I'd like to enter this card into the Simon Says Stamp challenge which this week is anything goes.
When I first began stamping in the early 1990s we didn't know any better than to make one layer cards. Then a few years later I went on a workshop where we were told, one layer was a no-no. What if you made a mistake, much better to stamp on some card and then mount it, that way you always had a perfect card!

Hello - thank you for popping by. I've had a look through your blog - great work. The stamp that you asked about is from Paper Inspirations called Birthday Joy Calligraphy G10175. I had it for ages and think I bought in a craft sale locally or a boot sale (love a bargain). I use it all the time, it's so versatile. Bye for now. Jeanette

Love the sentiment, Linby! And something so very charming about this card. Wow so many different elements there - ink dusters and TH stamps. Very vintage and yet bright and cheerful.
