LIM week 54-one layer - stripes

The Challenge on Less is More this week is for a one layer card with stripes. I worry after I had done this card that because I have used stripes of tape to make the glitter lines it isn't one layer? That is all there is to it, just put the tape over a template and then cut away the excess, the glitter is Martha Stewart, added a SU sentiment.
I'd also like to enter this card into:-

DYSU challenge-love
PaperPlay challenges-love letters
Simon Says Stamp challenge-love is in the air
Divas by Design challenge - love is in the air

The strips looks FAB, but, strictly they aren't one layer, I guess

Thank you very much

Not sure about the tape Linby... is it/isn't it one layer... it's not exactly an embellishment as it is the main image.... maybe the jury's out on this one... it's a great card though.
Thanks so much
Chrissie

Hi Linby :) Just dropping in to answer a question you left on my blog in regards to Lulu Blowing bubbles. She is not a silhouette but she is very easy to make into one. Using the uncolored version and a FREE digital editing program called PAINT.NET i just selected all the parts of the image and fill them in in black. If you would like a more detailed version of how to pop me an email to thenavywife@y7mail.com and I shall do a quick tutorial for you :) Ps I love this card with the glitter, it is just gorgeous!

Love your card Linby, the heart shape is great. Yep, it looks like we are on the naughty step, it never occurred to me that sticky tape would be classed as a layer. Never mind, lesson learned. Sue

I'd say tape and glitter is no more an extra layer than using ink or drawing a line with a marker is an extra layer, it's just a way of adding colour to selected areas. Looks fab!
