Woven snippets

You can tell it is BH Monday - no way would I normally have the time or patience to do paper weaving with my snippets for Pixies Crafty Snippets challenge 19. In fact when I first started I nearly ran behind the bike sheds for a bit of a sob, but then I got in the rhythm of it and was fine! The card above uses snippets from my box with a Bugaboo image coloured with promarkers added. I'd like to enter it into the Light and Bright challenge at Passion for Promarkers  and Anything goes at Catch the Bug challenge blog.
The one below was the same technique but I cut a frame from a Kate Knight full sheet of paper to frame the weaving and then used a Sweet Pea stamp to finish it off. I'd like to enter this into One Stitch At A Time Challenge- brights

These are fantastic. I love the idea paper weaving, but I too don't think I have the patience for it. Maybe I should try it.

Wow, fabulous cards and the paper weaving is perfect - brilliant use of snippets. I love both cards the same for different reasons.

If you'd run behind the bike shed for a sob I was already there honey, crying over some new Spellbinders dies (Moroccan Motif) which seem determined never to release the die cut :( Nightmare!

These are both gorgeous! Love the colors you used on the Bugaboo card and that is one of my all time favorite Bugaboo images. Thanks for playing along in the Catch the Bug challenge this week. Good luck and I hope you'll join us again.

Pretty cards Linby. It's not a technique I've tried . . . patience not being a strong point of mine! xxx

Great weaving. I'm saving up all my thin strips to do a spot myself. Not enough yet though. I'm right with you and Di behind the bike sheds. I logged onto a site to buy some goodies and they were out of stock!!! Tried a few more substitutes and they were too. In desperartion just to buy something clicked on everything and
anything. All outta stock. Got a box of hankie hankies anyone!!!

These cards are gorgeous, Linby! Great color combinations. I haven't done any weaving in a long time, time consuming but always worth the effort.
