LIM week 93 - houses (one layer)

The challenge on Less is More this week is "houses" with a one layer card. To begin with I could only think of one house stamp I have. Which is a bit odd as I collect miniature houses and surely this would have transferred into stamps? Well, yes, when I started to go through the edges of my stash, houses were coming out all over the place! To begin with I chose to use a memory box die and made this first card, lightly brushed with TH inks and a PTI sentiment added.
Then I found this stamp which of course I should have remembered as the cross stitch picture of it hangs in my living room - see below! As it is a large stamp I just inked it up from a big and juicy blue pallet and then with a water brush pulled a little of the colour from the ink.

Then I had one last go using a Clarity stamp of houses. I added a PTI sentiment and am also entering this into the Craft a Scene challenge - troubled skies.

Thank you for joining in with the Troubled Skies November challenge on Craft a Scene. I love your card. It just shows that you do not have to cover the entire card to get a really good picture, just one stamp and some really good use of colour. xx Maggie.

All wonderful, Lynn! I love them! Thanks for joining in with our Troubled skies challenge at Craft a scene too. Why does that little village with the threatening skies remind me of summer holidays?!

This post is really interesting, as I love to see your thought processes and how you applied them. All the cards are lovely,(never thought of using the Memory Box die like that) but I particularly like the last card. It is very atmospheric, which is not easily achieved in a cas card. Thanks for sharing.

Reminds me as well Lynn that I've got that stamp stashed away somewhere, there were a whole set of them from Stamps Happen as I remember, Somewhere gathering dust I have a good few them. Such a shame they closed down because their images were good quality.

Anyway back to business and your crew creations and I think your entry is very effective storm clouds brewing.

Thanks so much for sharing with us at Craft a Scene challenge this month.
