LIM week 106 - one layer and music

When I saw the challenge on Less is More this week was not only one layer but music my heart sank a little. I don't have a lot of  stamps with a music theme, I did think I had a music embossing folder, but either I never bought it, or I have misplaced it!
Then I remembered I had some wonderful free digital images from "Free vintage digital stamps" blog which had a music background. All the work with the main image was I admit done for me, I took it into MCS and tinkered with the edges, giving them a fade. I then used the scissors to cut around one of the notes and pasted it next to my sentiment - which I came up with all on my own! I used a free font called "Pea double n jenn" from two peas in a bucket.

Digital stamps are just super and I think the faded edges really set it off, the sentiment is brilliant and your little highlight 'note' is a touch of genius. Off to check out the digi stamp website.

Hello Lynn, I had exactly the same reaction when I read this week's LIM challenge. But I can see that you've overcome your lack of music themed stamps, etc., just beautifully - very cleverly done too. And I like that font. Elizabeth xx

PS: package received, many thanks - see my recent post re happy mail :)

What a brilliant card! I've not experimented much with digital crafting yet and tend to think of it as just downloading stuff then printing it, but you've shown that used properly it is one of the most creative media there is.
