LIM week 114 Lime & Black

Lime and Black is the challenge at Less is More this week. After being on a high from being showcased for week 112 I was brought back down to earth with a bump! I don't do lime! Then I remembered I had some lime green shrink plastic, why I ever bought that colour I don't know, it must have been all they had at the time. Being the frugal crafter I am, I had even saved pieces of it from some previous project.
I used three flower stamps from the Penny Black wishes set, stamped in black in and cutting around to leave some of the green on the edges, shrunk them down. This card is only 4x4 so it is really dinky in real life. The sentiment is from Gourmet rubber stamps.
Meanwhile my brain had been ticking and I remembered an offcut from a workshop I did that one one side was lime green. Out came the snipped and some die cuts that I purchased ages ago and these are the results.

Brain still whirring I remembered another flip side of a snippet I had and did this

Really into this colour scheme now I finally used a shaped shoe card, punched flower shapes and backed them with more of the snippet.I then used one of the itty bitty stamps to stamp into the apertures.

Completely out of my usual colour scheme, I rather like them, especially when all seen together. I would never have come up with these without the challenge. I'm also off to the Pixies crafty snippets playground #67  to show the others as they are of course all made using snippets.
