January Rudolph day

Sarn is back with the Rudolph challenge for 2014, but this time you have to make two cards for your entry. I so wanted to use this stamp of the lady with the ornament before Christmas but I never got time. So, once I started paper piecing her I couldn't stop, that is why I have four cards and not just two. I also did her in a non Christmas card, but that will have to wait for another post.

The other thing I have had for at least two years is this TH embossing folder. I wasn't sure how to use it, as on it's own it is the size of a card, but I decided to use some white core mirri card and rub it back and also a new embossing folder with mistletoe on it and make a big card. There again of course is the retro lady.
Blimey its gone very dark here and I've just hear the rumble of thunder - decided to stay in and have the shopping delivered. Except when I unpacked it the lamb chops were best by - today! I rang and complained and they are giving me the money back, so chops for tea tonight then.

Hi Linby - what a fab selection of retro looking cards. Excellent paper piecing. I had a pack of that paper and couldn't decide what to make with it, but you've done a super job.

Congrats on getting 4 cards ready.

Thanks for joining in with Rudolph Day.

Hugs, Sarn xxx

I love both of them. Great job putting the pieces into a real Christmas scene. Nice use of paper for the backgrounds.. Happy Rudolph Day.
I love that lady stamp, so nice and retro. Plus... look what you can do with her with paper piecing. I can see why you got carried away. What a fun selection of cards.

Very retro...and looks fabulous.
Made me think of Mad Men TV show and my Mum decorating the tree when was a kid. She wore pearls too! lol

The magic of Christmas with a 1950's housewife. Boy I remember those days - what a fun vision you have with fun cards.
