Victorian beauty

I really love the work of William Morris, so when the Age of Elegance cd rom from Joanna Sheen was released I got it straight away, however such is life that this is the first time I have had chance to use it. I love having all these patterns of his to print at any time. All the elements come from the cdrom apart from the SU rose red card that I put behind the die cutting to tone in with the sentiment and border and highlight the pattern. I printed the background pattern once at full scale and then using MCS decreased it and printed it again for the matting. I'm entering this card into the challenge on CD Sunday which this week Wynn has chosen as Victorian Beauties.

C'est la vie indeed Lynn, but when you did get to the CD you came up with a lovely creation, just love the fusion of colours.

Lovely card, Lynn - funnily enough it was the first time I'd actually made anything with the CD although I've spent many hours clicking through it and oohing and aaahing at the designs. It seems to be one that's lovely to have but not all that versatile to use

So pleased that my theme choice this week enabled to use this fab CD. I love William Morris designs too. I love how you placed the red behind the diecut to emphasise the pattern and link the colour.....very inspiring. Thank you for joining us at CD Sunday. Wynn DT x

I just love that backing paper. It took me right back to my school days! We used to have William Morris wallpaper in one of the classrooms and it featured on the cover of the school year book too. Funny how an image can evoke a memory.

You have made a very pretty card too.
