LIM week 212 - wings

My second post of the day! Please scroll down to see my Allsorts card for their Colour Purple challenge.

The challenge on Less Is More this week is "wings". I had an idea to use a butterfly as I am not really into birds and not sure I've got a suitable stamp. The last card here is actually the first idea I had which was to put the butterfly onto the stamped image, however it is the last card I made. I also added to this card two tiny leaves cut from some gilding flakes on acetate left over from another project.

I experimented with cutting the butterfly out of the stamped image, which is the second card, but decided I hadn't left enough white space. So the first card is the final version which I liked better. I cut the butterfly out and inked through the die. I got some scrap paper and inked through the die again to punch the three butterflies from so they matched the same colours as the big butterfly.I then placed the butterfly back into the aperture and placed some dotty paper behind it.
