Stepping out - CD Sunday
I actually made this card last week using the new serif cdrom Craftscapes. I used the Manhattan in winter collection and then added some items from another serif cdrom Pin Up. It originally read shopaholic, but I amended it to Shoeaholic!
I printed it out onto some textured cardstock for a different effect. I used a tattered lace die to cut the sentiment and backed it with some patterned paper, adding a little die cut shoe.
It's for the Stepping out challenge at CD Sunday. Then I wondered if CD Sunday allow digikits - although they are from a cdrom - I notice there is a Serif kit on their banner - but I thought I would do another card just in case and only finished it today.
Last night I went for a meal with a friend and then to see the preview of the new Spy movie starring Mellisa McCarthy and our own Miranda Hart. It was sooo funny, really good. Anyway, by the time I got home I didn't want to craft........
But finally I did get to finish my second card. I used the Ladies Collection cdrom from MCS for the shoe pickture and roses. The background DP is from my stash and then I used some double sided mirri card to cut a tattered lace shoe out twice. The sentiment is from spellbinders and I cut twice once in mirri and then in the DP and off set it slightly. Finally some bow ribbon I have had for ages which I thought fitted this card.
I think that's just about enough shoes for now. Off to enter the challenge at CD Sunday - just in time!
