Metallic snippets

I saw the current challenge at House of Cards was "Metallics" and I remembered I had a piece of purple mirri card that I had embossed with a peacock feather folder and only partly used. There wasn't much left - what to do with it?

I just got this Anne die from Tattered lace - it's been out of stock for ages but I managed to get one pre loved. I wondered what it would look like cut from a snippet of silver matt card I had. There are so many elements to this die and as I was deciding how to put it on a card, I thought - put it back into the piece I cut it from! So I did that, cutting the waste with a circle die.

No room for a sentiment though - so I cut "birthday" using a Clearly Besotted die from the smallest piece of waste I still had left and mounted it across the middle. I know it blends in the middle, but I liked the effect. I had some pieces left from another failed die cut so I cut those away and used them for the corners.
