Creative Expressions Saturday - Tag for a friend

I used the Pierced tag die set to make this card. First of all I used the colour cloud inks with spray starch to create the backgrounds. I hadn't tried this with Colour cloud before, but it worked perfectly.

Then I cut out two of the tags from a lighter part of my background and stamped and cut out by hand two tags using the pierced tag sentiments stamps.

I stamped the flowers from the Camellia Ring elements stamp set onto the larger tag and then coloured in with a brush using CE Aqua twinkles for the flowers and Cosmic shimmer acrylic drawing inks for the leaves and detail on the tag stamp from the pierced tag sentiments stamp set.

Finally I scaled up the largest tag die and made my own card to mirror the shape. I took some white seam binding and using the colour cloud coloured it co-ordinate with my tag background. the stamps on the card base are from Camellia ring elements set and I coloured again with aqua twinkles and Cosmic shimmer drawing inks.

I loved making this card so much I did a second one in another colour way. This time I didn't layer the stamping I stamped directly onto the die cut backgrounds.

Always think blue and green make a perfect colour palette Lynne and nice how you have carried the theme with the buttons to take your photos.

Hope you have a good weekend.
