Father Christmas at CD Sunday challenge

I used the Ooh La La Shawn Jenkins Christmas cdrom to print the tree backing paper. The colourful moon is a print taking from my gelli plate and the negative from something else I was making. I decided to stamp the Clarity Father Christmas across it. Finished off with a Crafters companion Christmas die set, and if you can make it out on the bottom of the white gloss card, the free snowflake embossing folder with their latest inspiration magazine. Finished off with CE Christmas sentiment die, one of the stars from the waste and one from yesterdays card.

I'm entering this into the CD Sunday Father Christmas challenge.

I was going to use a completely different cdrom for this challenge but have found that my Windows 10 PC will not run my docrafts digital cdroms. I don't have the option of reverting to windows 7 as the PC came with 10 installed.  I went on their website for help but so far not solved the issue as the tutorial they have does not match what happens on my PC. If anyone has any tips before I continue to pull my hair out I would be grateful.

Great background paper, love the Santa and sleigh and your houses die cut. Super card.

I had problems with CC CD's they told me to install the old Adobe reader. I didn't! and found that if I said cancel and went into the CD as normal it opened, don't know if this will help? Seems 10 is causing a few problems with older CD's. I am going to see if I can lift the files off the CD and add them into my files, can't do it yet though, I'm afraid due to a few things I'm doing.

Great card Lyn. I love how you've used up left overs too. On the Windows 10 question.....Ditch it!!!! It's a nightmare for crafters. I had to get rid of. Mine and reverted to Windows 7. My crafters have been having major probs finding things and like me have had it removed. Don't think it likes us crafters grrrr.
Thank you for joining I our challenge at CD Sunday. Wynn DT

ooh, i love the purple and green and especially the moon! thanks lynn, i felt the same way about the pine cone stamp until i used it during a class at a christmas card workshop and just had to have it. :) it fits perfectly across the 5.5 inches of the card plus i still get to colour.
This is fabulous Lynn, I love your colourful moon and the silhouette stamp over it looks great. I don't have a Geli plate but it's on my list for Santa. On the subject of Windows, my computer had some sort of episode last weekend where it wouldn't start up, so I ended up re-setting to factory settings. I don't know how long it will last but after my Hubby's experience of moving to 10, I'll stick with 7 as long as I can! Sandra X

I love how you've used various crafting techniques for this card Linby. I use my DoCrafts CDs with Windows 10 (which I also have no problems with). If you let me know which CDs you have I see if they're the same as mine.
Thanks for joining in the Challenge at CD Sunday.

I love the card. The way it looks as though Father Christmas is circling the earth is fantastic.
I am not having problems with anything on Windows 10 except Debbie Moores CD's
Some of the CD's open up in different ways and it seems just a matter of going with the flow and learning a new way. Or that is what I do - but just yell loudly for my son if that doesn't work.

I've just read your comment on my blog and it made me smile :). I think the mag is more for paper crafters than stammers but I loved the stamps. I have to confess though, that I've cut the silhouette hill off the bottom of the trees as I though they would get more use that way. I've kept the hills, just in case I decide to use them later. I'm sure that whatever you create will be gorgeous and I look forward to seeing it. Happy crafting, Sandra x
