Ring a ring O' roses and some exciting news
First of all my card for the challenge at Allsorts this week which is Ring a ring O' roses - which I am old enough to remember singing and playing when I was a child! I've used the same die I used on this card here. This time I have gone for a more traditional red and green and left off the background diecut.
I used a spellbinders folder to create the embossed background and inked over lightly with TH festive berries and iced spruce. The ribbon I have had for ever and keep forgetting to use it - I decided it went rather nicely with this die cut and background. I then added a double cut sentiment. I used my snippets box for the roses and sentiment. In fact there was not a big enough piece to cut the sentiment in green, but by layering up, you can't tell part of it is missing! Of course I have new sheets of card I could have used to cut it, but then it wouldn't have been snippets or an entry into the snippet playground over on Di's blog. I do find myself keeping very small snippets of red and green as they are so useful for leaves and berries or in this case roses.
Did you see that they are going to have a special birthday week over on Allsorts?
Now for my exciting news. I am a member of the DT at Swedish House Crafts and also the co-ordinator for the team.
Look out for my makes and in the mean time why not pop over and look at all the lovely goodies in the shop - I know you will be tempted! There is a link at the top of my sidebar and you can meet the rest of the team too.
