Texture

After just making it into the Male Room challenge this week on Tuesday I am back again with their new challenge - Texture.

I had a really good tidy in my craft room this morning - so I won't be able to find anything now! I came across this embossed Happy Birthday that was left over from another project. I love this embossing folder from Crafters Companion - and with some antique gold wax over the top it makes it too nice to throw any of it away. I also used a car from CC and gave it the same treatment. Cutting the headlights from some mirri card.
The background is a spellbinders emboss plate - dogtooth pattern which I used some brown card for and again put wax over. I think I've taken snippets to a whole new level for me this week as I then used part of the kitchen roll I had been using on a project the other day, the ink made it look too nice to throw away!

I mounted onto a piece of mirri card and then the base card. I took some spray ink added water and splattered over the top.

Hopefully it fits the bill of "Texture" for the Male Room and with my two sets of snippets I'm off to the Snippets Playground too as I am been playing truant for a few weeks now.

Me again! I forgot to say about the dilemma in commenting. I know you're only playing for fun this time but quite a few folk comment early and say they'll be back later with an entry and that they'll be playing for the prize(s) - which is fine with me. As I always note if folk are playing for a prize in every comment they leave, regardless of whether they do come back and enter, their name would be on my list if they say yes. And no need to comment again either. Mr Random chooses the winner's number so then I just look to see if the chosen person is on my list of folk who said yes please and even if they hadn't entered at that point in time it makes no difference. Being on the list is all that matters - told you, I'm very laid back about the whole thing :) Hope this burble makes sense!

Hi Lynn, this is a super masculine card and I love the embossed Sentiment. With regards the the craft Stamper guidelines and your message from last night, I removed all images and emailed them to apologise if I hadn't understood their guidelines correctly. I received an email from Trish this morning who advised that it is absolutely okay to post an image of your published piece once their next edition has been published. I hope this clears things up for you. Crafty hugs, Sandra x
