mid month reminder for Penny Black & more challenge

Here today to remind you of our ongoing challenge for October at Penny Black & More with the theme of Close to Nature.

For my DT card I chose this little chap who looks like he is very close to nature! It's Penny Black 1719K Nap Time. I stamped the image and created a background using aqua pens and glycerine. Then I bleached out the colour from the image with a brush and water before recolouring . I then used some more water splashed over the card and faux bleached to leave the spodges.

I used a stitched die to cut out the image and then stamped my sentiment which is from Swedish House Crafts. Finally I mounted onto some purple card which I distressed the edges of. Then I mounted onto some Penny Black DP and a little crochet lace from my stash.
