mid month reminder for CAS Challenge at Penny Black & More

A little reminder of our monthly theme of Clean and Simple for the December challenge at Penny Black & More. 

For my DT card I used the Penny Black set 30-155 Blooming Garden and for the sentiment 30-115 Lace Delight. For a change instead of masking the flowers I actually painted around them with some aquantints. Then I used Derwent colour inktense pencils to colour the flowers and seed heads. I stamped a little bit of a pattern in the background in Watering can ink so that it was not competing with the main image. Then I stamped the sentiment over the top with Clair black ink.

I cut the panel out using Spellbinders distressed edges dies and a mat for it in black and that was it!
