Twofer Card Challenge

This is my entry for Darnell's Twofer Card Challenge of Blossoms. I actually had all the elements cut out and ready to go, and this is the reason why.......

I saw a post on Di from Snippet's playground blog and followed the link to Youtube - whilst there a video by Jennifer McGuire caught my eye for a technique to quickly stamp layered stamps. Well she is just so upbeat about everything she does and I wanted to try it too. I thought well I don't have a stamp set with lots of layers but I do have some stamps and dies that co-ordinate, I wonder if I can use the technique to quicken up making those.

So I cut my template with the dies, put it in my MISTI and then linked up the stamps over the die cuts and yes it was much quicker. Then I had all these flowers and leaves. Why did I do that I thought? I don't batch make cards!

There they sat this past week until I saw Darnell's challenge - and all of a sudden the purpose of what I had achieved was realised in these two cards!

This die and stamp set cost me an arm and a leg from the USA, and that was before the current bad exchange rate! So, I felt like they needed another outing. The sentiments are from a Paper Smooches set I won in the Snippets Playground some time ago and I love the quirky type face. Although I do feel the "get well" seems a little bit like an instruction without the "soon"!
