One Sheet Wonder Rudolph Day

Something a little different for my Rudolph Day challenge entry this month. Firstly I managed to use the TH stamps I won from Mo a few months back - thanks Mo. Secondly I wanted to try the one sheet wonder technique, which is the challenge at the moment on Back to Basics and Beyond. I must have had this sheet of paper 12x12 paper for a good few years and yes, when I came to use it I began to think - but what if I need it for something else!

I haven't followed the cutting guidelines for the sheet to get the maximum amount because I don't like measuring - so I just went with it and only had a few tiny slivers of paper left. I wanted to stamp in something that look like gold and found the perfect Inkz stamp sitting on my desk which was just free with a magazine.

My final make was because I had the TH die set out and thought I could make the mountains using it and then I just added some of the trees and a CE sentiment die. Finished off with rose gold stickles.

All in all I enjoyed making these cards and I achieved designs which I would not otherwise have thought of without the one sheet wonder technique. I have lots more 12x12 that I could do with using this technique on too.

I'm also sharing with the Snippets playground as all the mirri card was from my bits box and of course as the sheet got smaller it meant I was using snippets.

Fabulous cards Lynn and I love the colours that you've used, very unusual. Great stamping too x

Great challenge just to use the one sheet of paper. Fabulous makes and had a little chuckle when you actually used the paper....'what if I needed it for something else'? You are not alone...why do we all hoard these beautiful papers? x

Super-fun set of Rudolph Days cards!!! Love those stamps and all the fab ways you used your prize!

Linby: Thank you for your comment on my PB&M card with the quilt design. Perhaps your computer screen did not clearly show that the focal quilt star is indeed stamped. No dies were used for that part. I pieced the inner stamped pieces within the outer stamped pattern. If you have a minute, I would appreciate you stopping by for another look to verify that this does qualify for that challenge. Thank you so much.

This was a brilliant use of your 12x12 paper. I need to learn to do this, as I have tons of 12x12, and prefer using the 6x6 paper packs. (I am not great at using the larger designs on the 12x12). You've really achieved some stunning cards with just one sheet and I especially love #3. The 'hill' is clever use of the die, and made such a nice background to the trees and snowflakes. I also love the texture on the cap card with the snowflakes and bakers twine. The gold on #1 really shimmers and love the way you've got the snowflakes as an icy border. Well done on your being in the publication too! Hope I can get back in time to enjoy that particular post! TFS &Hugs
