GDT at The Library Challenge - From Time to Time

I'm so excited to be a Visiting Librarian over at The Library Challenge. I did always want to be a librarian - so next best thing lol!

The book I've chosen for the challenge is one of my all time favourites. It's From Time to Time by Jack Finney. He also wrote the invasion of the Body Snatchers! This my treasured copy of the book. I don't have many physical books nowadays as I've learnt as you get older they don't keep well and gather dust - so as soon as I've read them they are off to the charity shop, or I read on my kindle. However, this one is a keeper.

This is his second time travel novel and a sequel to Time and Again - so if you want to read it maybe get this one first.

I chose the second novel as it features in the story one of my fave New York buildings  - The Flatiron. Hard to believe today - but it was the first ever skyscraper in New York. I've used a TH stamp which shows the Flatiron amongst the NY skyline buildings. The concept of the time travel in the book is to will yourself to travel in time to your destination, so I thought they two TH sentiments were fitting.

I've used a clock stencil, various timepieces and cogs from Uniko and a crackle background from Phill Martin.

So why not go over to The Library Challenge and enter? You could use New York images, the concept of time travel or just time itself.

It's great to read more about your love of the book - I really do hope to get round to reading them soon. Your card is very beautiful and clever too - it seems to have great depth and interest while being one layer. Fabulous! Thanks for being the Visiting Librarian.
