Blue and White @ CD Sunday

This is my third attempt at designing something for the CD Sunday challenge of Blue and White. The first two just made it off the printer but weren't right and so eventually I decided to use the CC Kimono cdrom for this backing paper.

I then inked the edges of the paper and stamped onto it with paris dusk ink and used clear embossing. I did the fan the same way but this time fussy cut it out and then I discovered my white ink pad is not so white anymore! So I stamped the lady onto white card and clear embossed and cut her out, then placed her behind the fan.

Final touches a gummiapan die and some lace flowers.

At one point I was going down the Christmas route and snowflakes. However, I do have a lot of oriental rubber stamps still on wooden blocks, and so it was nice to be able to use them.

A pretty Oriental themed card Lin - I also have some oriental stamps that are long neglected - maybe I should get them out again now!

Beautiful! I was pretty sure that as soon as you saw the theme you would go for an Oriental look as I did.
