#517 Mother's Day/Feminine at Allsorts challenge

This week our theme at Allsorts challenge is Mother's Day or Feminine chosen by Mervi.

I've gone with a Mother's Day card I made for my MIL as Mothering Sunday was 31 March in the UK. I chose this TL die set as it is so reminiscent of this piece of embroidery she made when she was about 14 (she is nearly 85 now!). She gifted it to me a while ago and so I am very lucky to own this.

I had to cut the die a few times (!) to get the different colours. You might wonder why the bird is in grey - well MIL has a little pigeon that comes to the garden.  I added some butterflies as it seemed to fit on this size card the best, but I had an empty corner lol.

The winner chosen by random org this week will win these lovely Woodware stamps.

How great to find such similar dies. And you're lucky to have the embroidery!

That die is such a close replica of the lady on the embroidery and I am sure your MIL really appreciated the thought and idea behind your card.

OH! What a wonderful idea to choose something like her beautiful embroidery. I suspect she was very touched by your thoughtfulness. It's VERY beautiful Linby.
