#543 Make your own background at Allsorts challenge

It's my turn to host the Allsorts challenge this week and I've chosen the theme of "make your own background". Which really means I don't want to see any printed designer papers.

For my DT card I decorated my base card with a Lavinia stamp but I also made a background for my main image too.

I used a new stamp from Lavinia as the focal point,  which I just had to have! I created my background by sprinkling brushos over an inked gelli plate. I then stamped the Lavinia stamps and created with ink the ground to root her. I also bleached some of the colour from the world stamp and gave it an outline.

Finally I used a white pen around part of the world and the figure to create a shadow. I edged the card image with a black sharpie.

The winner chosen by random org will this time win these stencils from Crafty Devils.

Beautiful blues and purples for your background Lynn and Zamira is lovely isn't she, I also succumbed to her and the Butterflies when they came out. Great theme, very much up my street.
