Crimes Against a Book Club at The Library Challenge

I've had such a lovely time making this card and also before the challenge at The Library Challenge ends!

The book is Crimes Against a Book Club. I was in an online book discussion when someone recommended this book and I said "ooh, I must get this". Only to go to Amazon and be helpfully told I bought it 2 years previously! That was a couple of years ago...... I was determined to get the card done and maybe read the book, but for now it's just the card.

I knew I wanted to use the stripe background stamp from Uniko and then the books from The Ton stamp set. Next choice was the skirt and legs from The Ton which usually you pair with a pile of books for the top of the woman. However, I was rummaging and saw an old Greeting Farm stamp which I wondered if I could stamp and splice up the image to fit the body. This is the result, and I'm pretty pleased with it.

The book is about a group of women from a book club who get into selling beauty products, so I thought this fitted the theme and then I remembered another stamp set I had and used the beauty jars along the bottom of the card.

Final touch is another Uniko stamp - Happy Birthday, which I stamped and fitted in to look like one of the books.

Here's a closer look at the card without the staging I couldn't resist!
