Say it with Flowers at Penny Black & More challenge

Our new challenge at Penny Black & More begins today with the theme of "Say it with Flowers".

I've used a wood mounted Penny Black stamp called Merci Bouquet for my card. For a change I decided to use distress crayons to colour the flowers and deliberately go over the lines! I often use the crayons to colour the critters but this is the first time I have used them like this.

As it is a thank you card (using 30-574 Special Sentiments) I didn't want it to be too fussy but needed some more detail. So I took one of the layering stencils from the CC set and using TH Distress ink in antique linen I carefully stencilled around the image very lightly.

I used the butterflies from the PB set Tea Party 30-572 down one side and in the sentiment which I broke up on the card. Finishing touch were some flat sequins down the side and along the bottom of the card.

A lovely make Lynn and I love how those crayons have taken the blend out of the lines, it has a lovely "whispy" effect to it xxxx

Such a cute kitty card! Colouring outside the lines has given the flowers a lovely fuzzy look that makes them appear dimensional and almost like there are more flowers there.
