Christmas Shopaholic

I've made this card for the Library Challenge 72 - Christmas Shopaholic.

As soon as I saw the book for the theme I knew I wanted to use this die of a lady with her arms full of parcels. She also has a dog on a lead but I cut that part of the die away.

I've read all the Shopaholic books and I'm certain Becky Bloomwood would love this outfit, especially the dogtooth dress! I've used some Maja papers for the background and paper piecing. The trees are a TH die with a CC die behind them cut from glitter and mirri card. The card I used for her coat and sentiment has this wonderful sheen to it - I managed to capture it on the dress but not the sentiment.

Finally I added some "snow" using a jelly roll glitter pen.

I'm also popping over to the Snippets Playground with this card. I have used all snippets for this card, especially that little strip with the parcels on, which is the edge of the 12x12. Yes I had saved that tiny piece!

Beautiful card with such a classic vintage feel. Love it!
Great paper piecing and fabulous vintage look!
Hope that shops could be opened for Christmas, it seems that sadly little business have to die while Amazon being more and more rich.

Super card, Lynn. The shiny coat really ‘pops’. Hopefully we can all get out to do some Christmas shopping before Christmas. Shopping online isn’t quite the same. xx

Love this card Lynn. It was you who "enabled" me to buy that TH tree die!
