Twofer and NBUS!

It's been quite the day here in the UK with gusty winds, heavy rain and hail! So when my latest stamp from AAL arrived this morning it felt like the right time to use her. I have been hankering after some Vera Lane stamps for ages and have made a purchase as digis, but this little lady is exclusive to AAL and I just had to have her.

For my first card I used a circle cut from a gelli plate background I created with a water droplet stamp. I them fussy cut out her and an umbrella from an old magazine set and coloured with promarkers. The sentiment inside reads "bring May flowers" and was also with the magazine set by Clearly Besotted.

I've angled her back a little more than she should be to give the impression of a gust of wind!

I see this being a card to send to a friend for many different circumstances.

For my second card I used yet more NBUS! The plaid background stamp came only the other day and so did the die cut which is part of an old CC mag but I cut away the flower inside. I was actually making some cards with this die when the inspiration struck for these cards, so watch for those soon!

I used a combination of sentiment stamps from Lawn Fawn and Papertrey Ink - I think this could be a birthday card or a just "Happy wishes" card.

These cards are for the Twofer challenge. Where this month you have free reign!

As per the rules I have used exactly the same stamp set on each card. I added her hat and the dog to the second card.

As I alluded to earlier, this stamp set, the die and the plaid background are all NBUS so I am also entering into the current NBUS challenge #24.

This little lady is a real charmer, Linby! Your first card is a good reminder that rainy days pass. Great idea to use those raindrop images, and that sweet umbrella. (love the puddles, too!) She looks great in her beret and that little dog is adorable! Very sweet cards! Thank you so much for joining us at the Twofer Challenge. Stay safe. Bev
Fabulous cards Lynn, I love the "movement" on this Gal on each with great details, love the sentiments and designs too.

I can see why you wanted her, Linby! She reminds me a lot of Betty Boop and who doesn't love Betty Boop? She looks amazing on both your plaid/scalloped delight and your windy April day with a blowing umbrella and bucketing down jelly rainfall! Great prompt idea and details on each one! I hope your weather has improved and you are keeping safe. Thank you for playing in TCC #36 and sharing with everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell (Love the blog banner! Is it new or are my new meds erasing my memory??!)
Such sweet, wonderfully charming cards. We're not quite into the rainy season here in our wee corner of Canada (indeed, we enjoyed some really pretty snow again just three mornings ago), but one does sense that it should be upon us again within a few weeks.

These are such fun Lynn and I always think blue and yellow makes a super colour palette.

What a fun, quirky prompt you chose for your twofer, Lynn ... and you gave her such fun scenes to be part of! That first encouragement card where she's weathering the storm is fabulous with the raindrop background and the blustered about umbrella ... sure to bring a smile to the recipient! Cool plaid background for her on your second card ... and fabulous colour co-ordination ... love that the little pooch has a scarf to match it! Thanks so much for your visit and kind words ... and for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)
