Die cut snippets and some holiday photos

I made this card for a friend whose birthday was last week, we learnt to type together so I thought this would raise a smile with her, along with the dial telephone. I used only snippets from my box as these dies are all so small. It's mainly a Sizzix set which I got on sale and the typewriter and mouse come from a Lawn Fawn set.  I used a Paper Discovery embossing folder for the background to create a room setting.

I'm popping over to Di's snippet playground to enter this card too.

We had a lovely break in North Yorkshire last week - so long since we had a holiday I had forgotten how to pack lol! This was the view from our lovely remote cottage. This field usually had horses in it and then we had the owners pet cows! and chickens to look at too.

One advantage of being awake at 4.30am one morning was capturing this beautiful sunrise.

We saw this swarm of bees up high over the village school.

A visit to Knaresborough - I'd never been before it was so lovely.

and we couldn't resist a visit to the Oldest Sweetshop in the World! (verified by the Guinness Book of Records) at Pateley Bridge. It's in a building dating from 1661 but only a sweetshop since 1827!

Little dies are very useful for using up snippets, isn't it? :) Adorable card, it's so cute and that smiling paper with the sentiment is a clever touch! The EF you used is just perfect to simulate a room! Your friend surely will smile receiving it!
Lovely photos of your vacation too, it seems a very relaxing place!

You certainly chose the right week for your break Lynn and so please you had a relaxing time. Remember that sweet shop from a visit there a few years ago. Great use of your snippets.

After seeing your beautiful card on the Snippets challenge, it's no wonder it was top pick! I had to come over and see how you put it all together and I just love that embossing folder. I've never seen one like it but what a terrific design for any room scene.
I grew up with a rotary phone, and took typing classes back in school. This card is absolutely charming.
