Shimmer and shine roses

I've made these cards for the current challenge at Let's Squash It for Shimmer and shine.

For my shimmer and shine I used pearlescent card with a hint of silver and then ran it through a Nellie Snellen 3d rose EF. Then I used Craft Artist mica powders on the raised areas. I then cut the sentiment from the same card and used the same powders. To ensure the sentiment stood out from the background I cut it three times and layered it up. I received this sentiment die in a mystery bag so this is it's first outing. I wasn't sure how to use it but pleased with this for a first attempt.

 

My second card uses the same technique but this time I used some green card for the base and got to use this new bow die which I have been seeing around blogland. I had to track it down on an auction site as it is a little old now. 

Because I used NBUS with the sentiment die and the bow die I'm also popping over to the NBUS challenge to enter.
