Snippets with two dies and three ways

 


I saw a die the other day with floral in the corner and a lattice work cut around it. With so much NBUS already I decided to see if I could make my own version using two dies I already own. One from a Crafters Companion mag and the other a background die by Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is a newer Phill Martin corner stamp sentiment set, you can see the older version below.

The top card is actually the third one I made and the one I like the best. Yes, I did place all the snippets from another die cut back into this die. Someone said once when I did this, that I had too much time on my hands - needless to say they haven't had another card since!

The card below is the first one I made.

I do love these dies and the frame one is just perfect for snippets, no new pieces of card have used for any of these designs. I also have another two die cut frames left over- it really is the die that keeps giving lol!

I'm popping over to the Pixies Crafty Workshop and the Snippets Playground and Miss Di to show her my makes, I'm just playing for fun this time. I wonder if she's used her die like this yet???

Hi Lynn

I love your trio of card using snippety die-cuts. Fab work.

I'm still helping Miss Di out with Playground commenting, but she's making a rapid recovery, so come and join in the mischief up at the Treehouse before she can start climbing the rope ladder and stop us!

Wow!!! Absolutely love the concept, Lynn, such clever idea and your cards are delightful!! Love especially the first one, but also the other two look really beautiful!!! An idea that I will CASE, surely :) The dies used are very sweet, and that rose is just perfect! Thanks for sharing!

These cards are just wonderful. They are all great but I think I agree with you on my favourite. I love that technique too and you just have to make extra cards to use the snippets so I applaud you for doing that, well done. How nice too that you have made use of things you already had too. I particularly like that background die xx

What gorgeous cards Lynn! Each one is so pretty and wonderful use of snippets too. Nope, not had a chance to use my die as yet - doing little card making at the moment but hope to be back into the swing of it soon. And whoever remarked about you having too much time on your hands with the careful inserting of pieces back into a die cut did make me giggle, all art takes time and care!
