Week 645 Embellish it - at Allsorts challenge

This week it is Lolo's turn to host the Allsorts challenge and she's chosen the theme of "Embellish it".

I've had this little mdf house for ages and thought I would use some of my rice papers and fashion papers to make my own "house of fashion". I just used a liquid adhesive and applied the various elements with a little ink and gilding wax. I'm a little disappointed because I had the dress at the apex and forgot that the gable went over the top and it has hidden part of the lovely dress!

We have two prizes on offer this week with one from Crafty Ribbons offering a £10 store voucher where the winner can choose their prize (please note the winner pays postage) and a second prize of a Tim Holtz die.

Crafty Ribbons is a ribbon emporium, we are passionate about ribbons and want to share our fantastic ribbons with others. Whether your project requires satin, sheer, silk, grosgrain, gingham or polka dot ribbon we have them all! Lots and lots of different colours in a range of widths. Need a little bit of ribbon inspiration - then have a look at our projects on our blog,or visit our Inspiration blog, or maybe join in with us at our Challenge blog. Go on, have a look... It's worth it !

A really unique creations Lynn, I see what you mean about the dress but it's perfectly placed and actually looks like that is just how it's meant to be.

We crafters are often harsh critics of our own work Lynn, but this looks lovely to me and I totally agree with Brenda’s comment above. I’d be delighted to have made something as lovely as this - please don’t be disappointed with it.

Hugs, Sarn xxx

That's a real shame about the dress being a bit cut off, but to be honest I don't think I would have noticed if you hadn't said. This is such a clever idea, love the vintage look too xx

I really love this Lynn, the images are gorgeous and the whole design is absolutely fabulous. I've never used rice paper, maybe need to get some to have a play with.
Happy crafting
