A robin and a snowy cottage

A slight change to our challenge blog in that we are now called We Love Stamping. Please do come and join us as we have some fabulous prizes on offer from our sponsor this month that you won't want to miss.

But first my DT card for Stamping Sensations challenge where the theme is "Christmas". For my DT card I used this robin stamp from CC which comes as three separate layers and a die to cut around it. You even get the shading stamp to ground him too.

As always we have a prize on offer this time from our sponsor Be Creative.

Our theme this first month at the newly formed challenge We Love Stamping is "Christmas". I used a very old and favourite stamp. I did two versions. One on cardstock with a little bit of a tooth and I think it looks more snowy and the second one is on a smoother cardstock.

Here they are side by side so you can see the difference in the effects. I also used slightly different inks on each one

I absolutely love that Robin Lynn, he's such a cheery plump fellow. The snowy cottage cards are lovely with the glow in the windows, I know I have that stamp somewhere probably hardly used, need to hunt it down.

Your first card is adorable, Robins are such iconic British Birds. So with everything going on you were not content with making just one We Love Stamping sample but two! Unless I am mistaken that lovely winter scene is a La Blanche stamp for vintage images they really are the best, my go to. well done xoxo

Such beautiful cards Lynn! The robin is so cute and love the layered stamping! And your vintage Christmas cards are gorgeous with that pretty stamp! Love each version, it does look like a snow storm on the card with more tooth, and on the other one all peaceful after the storm!

Lovely cards Lynn, he truly is a lovely robin. The Snowy Postcard is one of my favourite stamps and comes out every year. The textured card does look as if it's snowing.

That's a very charming Robin Lynn, love the inking on him. I love both snow scenes, but the first on a toothed card stock looks more vintage.
Happy crafting

It's hard to beat a robin for Christmas Lynn and this one is truly gorgeous! Your vintage cottage looks amazing. You would really take it for a vintage postcard. Love it.

Isn't it interesting how small differences can make such a difference to the finished look? Two wonderful cards, your Robin is just perfect xx

Two lovely festive designs Lynn! I always like a robin motif and I like the tag sentiment. My favourite design though is the snowy cottage scene on the postcard background. I really like the colours you've used with the black and white image of the snow scene with the glowing windows. Vicky x
