Owls and a Wildflower tag

Our new challenges at We Love Stamping and Stamping Sensations begin today, I do hope you can join us.

My owl is my DT card for We Love Stamping where the theme this month is Anything goes that is stamped with option of Wings. I've used a Woodware stamp for my card and paper pieced it using some papermania patterned papers.

I did a couple of variations of this card, as I have a few friends who like owls and I have known for a very long time!

I managed to use the snippets from the first card to create these two.

Our prize this month is this A4 stamp set kindly donated by Stampers Grove

For my DT card at Stamping Sensations where the theme is Anything goes that is stamped with the option of adding a die cut. I've made this tag card.

I made the tag background by collection ink smooshed on my glass mat. I then used some stamps from a Hobby Art set (and for the sentiment) and Lavinia stamps. adding a little glitter pen here and there. The die cuts are from a Tim Holtz set. Before putting the tag on the card I used a Lavinia stencil for the subtle background. Finally I added some fibres through the tag hole and a sentiment from a Phil Martin mag set.

Our prize this month is kindly donated by Oakwood Archer. and is a £25 prize package from them.

I do love those Owls Lynn, Woodware stamps lend themselves to paper piecing so well and we both know who would have appreciated your cards. Moving onto your tag there is something almost mystical about it.

Your paper pieced owls are really great and so cheery. What a great start to the New Year of crafting. such a fun image. I love the contrast between that and your tag card, which is beautiful but in a very different way. Such a lovely background and a great range of different elements xx
Adorable cute owls and lovely paper piecing, great choice of papers (and you also used all your snippets, well done! :D )
The tag looks so different and magical, love how the fibres match the Lavinia stamps and the TH diecuts!
Happy New Year!
