Summer flowers and hot colours

 


Time for the new themes for July at the monthly challenges I am on the DT for at We Love Stamping and Stamping Sensations.

My first card is for the theme Summer Flowers at Stamping Sensations challenge.

I used a stencil to create the background and then used a set of Sunflower stamps from Creative Expressions. Colouring with DIs and a little water. I cut out using an old Gummiapan die rubbing a little gilding wax around the edges and then splattered with some gold ink.

The prize is a £25 store voucher from Crafty Individuals

My second card is for We Love Stamping  challenge with the theme of Anything stamped/option hot sunny colours. Would you believe I got inspiration for this card watching the Antiques Roadshow. Not from the antiques but a skirt someone was wearing in the crowd!

I took a piece of card and used DIs to create a blended background then used a PB set of stamps. I cut another piece of the background to create the banner sentiment.

Your cards are both amazing Lynn!! Love so much the stencilling in the first background and the shape of the frame gives it justice!! The second one has wonderful vibrant colours just perfect to make the birds and the branches pop!! Love the sentiment!!

Your first is so "countryfied" relaxing and beautiful Lynn. They say you get inspiration from everywhere, but a skirt? LOVE it. fab colouring and the birds and quote is perfect.
