Our theme this week at Allsorts challenge is "Let's Celebrate" as it is our 700th challenge post.


I made a new home card for a young man who has been able to purchase his first home - which in this day and age I am sure you can agree is cause for celebration. As it was for a man I kept the design pretty mono by using a CI stamp set in black on kraft card. The sentiments were from a magazine set and then I added a star from a Sizzix set to lift the design a little.

I thought the card base was a little too stark so I used some DIs and a AALL & Create stencil randomly all over it.

It's perfect for occasion Lynn and is indeed a reason to celebrate this day and age, like how you aded the star around the word home.

One of our Granddaughters just bought her first home and asked if she was being silly being a little bit proud, certainly not doing it solo was my answer.

This is perfect Lynn, he will love it I'm sure. Well done to him too. One of my GNephews has been saving to buy his own home too, but prices got too much for his savings, so he has moved out into rented instead. A shame really. But at least he has his independence at 23.

I find masculine cards so difficult but you really nailed it with this one, Lynn. The kraft background was a perfect choice and I love the artsy look you achieved.
