Neurographic art

I've been a bit out of sorts since the events in my home city on Tuesday. Yesterday Sarn posted on her blog two pieces of work she had created using neurographic art. It took my interest and this morning I used procreate on my ipad to create this design.

I printed it off and added a cat from a Uniko stamp set with sentiment. I think my art might have a little bit of zentangle but I like it.

I then used the same design and overlaid some brush work - sort of a stencil effect. This time I used the black cat from the set and cut it out and mounted it over the card.

I've also made a couple of other designs, but I will save those for now. Thanks Sarn for the prompt to try this art, I've really enjoyed myself.

I'm going to join in with Ellibelle's Crafty Wednesday challenge  for anything goes, with the first card.

Wahoo! Chuffed to have inspired you to have a go at this fun type of art. Really like the 2 cards you made. Great idea to print out your art and add some stamping.

I hope you and everyone else in your home city recover from the atrocities encountered.

Hugs, Sarn xxx

Very fab and funky designs Lynn … it’s great to try something new and this has come together brilliantly. I too was very shocked by what happened where you live … I’m from about 25 miles away but my ears pricked up when I heard about it .. so tragic, what is the world coming to?? ❤️

Both of these makes are fab and isn't it great to be inspired by a make from a pal (real or virtual)?

So sorry to hear about the sad events in your city. I too loved so much knowing the Neurographic Art on Sarn's post and have tried myself! It's a really therapeutic technique and I enjoyed so much the process and the result of my work (not posted yet).
Both your cards are fabulous and love the colours you used, as well the Uniko cats!

Two wonderful cards. I saw this technique on Sarn’s blog, I’d never heard of it before. xx

You were certainly quick off the mark making a couple of cards withy this technique. I just had to have a go too and produced a drawing but so far have done nothing with it. It was certainly a mindful and relaxing thing to try, possibly less disciplined than zentangle which is a favourite pastime.

Your design is wonderful I do admire you for using procreate. I try occasionally and then get stumped and forget how to do things! Love how you have added to your design with those Uniko cat stamps xx

Such a fun design you created on the iPad! Love how it turned out and the cat surely is the most perfect image to add.
I hadn't heard about the news in your town since I am from overseas so I googled. So very sad! Much of the world has gone crazy!

Thank you so much for joining in at my Crafty Wednesday challenge!

Such fabulous work Lynn. I am sorry about the news from your city, it is getting so I am frightened to turn on the TV. There is so much needless violence going on everywhere. I prayed for the Fathers in church today being it is Fathers day here in the UK it will be so hard for them.
