Hope your day goes swimmingly!

For this card I used part of a larger CE beach scene stamp. For a change I decided to go with a kraft card base as I thought it highlighted the colours which are blended DI's. I added a die cut swimmer complete with bath cap. Some of you remembered wearing one when I last used this die. I think I had one with 3d flowers on it in the 1970s!

I'm entering this card into

Path of Positivity challenge  with the optional twist of inspired by the sea

I'm also sharing a few photos from the Van Gogh Immersive experience in Leicester last weekend. It was amazing, but the best part which I don't have photos of, was the VR experience where you get to walk into the paintings. It really fired up my creativity.

Great card and the kraft works well as it's sandy coloured. Thanks for sharing the Van Gogh pics - bet it was amazing 'walking into' one of his paintings

Your beach scene is lovely, great combo of stamping and die cuts, looks great framed by the kraft.
We had to wear those rubber bathing caps for school swimming lessons- how I hated it (the cap not the swimming!)
The VR experience sounds amazing, I would love to do that.

Your card is fabulous, I love that summer silhouette so perfect for this month's theme at Four Seasons challenge. Thanks so much for joining us and so great to see you at my Crafty Wednesday challenge, too!

The Van Gogh experience looks like a fabulous event. They had this at a nearby town (nearby means an hours drive away from here) I really wanted to go but didn't get a chance to. Wish I had made more of an effort to go!!

A lovely beach scene Lynn and I can just imagine that swimmer diving in to the cool water.

Oh yes indeed I remember swimming caps, could never get one to stay on because of such long hair. They were still mandatory at an Italian hotel a couple of years ago.

Kraft card was a good choice as it contrasts well with the yellows.

Fabulous card, and the kraft frame looks perfect. Here the swimming caps are still mandatory in the swimming pools, but no with 3D flowers :D
Your Van Gogh Immersive experience photos look awesome! Such wonderful exhibition!

What an interesting post, Lynn! Love your swimming/beach encouragement card and laughed at the thought that your die hadn't been used since we all wore swim caps! You're a hoot! And loved your photos of the awesome Van Gogh experience which has fired up your creativity! Hugs, Darnell

That's a great beach scene. I am a bit concerned that your diver may not reach the water though. Hope she is OK. thanks for sharing the pics from your exhibition visit xx
