Art journal cover decoration
This week at Allsorts Brenda is our host and we have an optional Bingo board to play.
I've gone for the diagonal line of Stencil, Green and Red. I used the Lisa Horton Poppy die, EF and stencil set to create a focal point for one of my Art Journals, (it actually began life as a diary). I then gessoed the background and used a Lavinia stencil over the top before mounting the poppies and flicking a little of the white gesso over.
Finished with a sentiment from one of Lisa's pre printed sets.
Our prizes are from StampendousI went to an exhibition the other day, and one of the things the artist (Saad Qureshi) had done was to weave paper to look like rugs. Until I looked sideways and saw how thin it was, I still thought it was a rug. Here are some of the other ones we saw.
Just beautiful work.

The paper rugs look amazing , it must have taken so long for the artist to create them.
