Bees, blooms and butterflies

Our optional theme at Allsorts this week is Bees/Blooms/Butterflies and I managed to get all three on my DT card! Or of course you can use the Anything Goes option.

I took a verse from a Washable from Clever cuts and then put yellow glitter film over it. The background is a page from a DCWV paper pad Mariposa, cut out with a 7x7 die from Chloe Creative cards. Then a panel embossed using a bee EF from Chloe rubbed over with gilding wax. I then used a sizzix die to highlight the printed butterfly. I used a JND die set for the flowers and cut the centres from the same card as the background. A TL die cut bee, Martha Stewart punched butterflies and a tiny round bee stamp from a Spellbinders set.

I didn't like the way the background was stark against the paper so I used a bee stencil again from Chloe with yellow DI around the edges.

Wow Lynn this is so intricate, I absolutely love all the details. Most particularly I love the EF with gilding wax (never used that … must look into it!) and the intricate flowers with different coloured centres. Xx
