Focal sentiment and a poppy

I'm here today with a little mid month reminder for our challenges at We Love Stamping and Stamping Sensations

My first card is for We Love StampingI used a stamp that is by Uniko but exclusive to Craftstash for my background, stamped in green. I cut a circle out for the sentiment to show through. I then didn't stamp onto acetate as you might think, but used a laminator sheet to stamp inside with a CC stamp and then laminated. I placed some patterned paper behind it.

This is my DT card for Stamping Sensations. I used an old poppy stamp from CC and a fade out ink pad for the no line watercolour effect. My first time using this technique and it didn't turn out too badly.

I embossed some black card with a TL Embossing folder and then put white ink over the top before colouring with Distress oxides. The sentiment is from a Lisa Horton pack.

As always we have fabulous prizes at both challenges. But we must see some stamping on the front of the card.

Both cards look beautiful Lynn, green is my favourite colour so the first one really appeals to me such a lovely fresh look, the centre panel is very effective.
Impressed by your 'no lines' colouring of the poppy- it's so difficult to do!

Both beautiful cards, love the poppy but I agree with Chris the first is my favourite because of the green -my favourite colour.

That is a SUPER sentiment on the birthday card and I love the background too. Clever use of a laminator sheet too!

LOVE the poppy card - it's gorgeous with the big focal flower - and I completely concur with the sentiment!
