Summer in the garden and a focal sentiment

August already! Time for the new challenges at Stamping Sensations and We Love Stamping. You can read more about how I made my DT cards and details of the challenges and prizes below.

This my card for Stamping Sensations where anything goes (as long as your card has stamping on the front), or we would like to see summer in the garden. My card uses an underused die of mine from memory box. I stamped the image from CE in red and green inks and then cut it out using graduated arch dies. Then I layered them up in a decoupage fashion. The background is from an old TL magazine.

Our prizes are Lisa Horton Crafts Trailing Satin Flower die, embossing folder and stencil collection and A5 In the Bucket stamp set from AALL and Create

My card for We Love Stamping and follows our optional theme of a stamped focal quote or sentiment, you can of course use the anything goes option, as long as you have some stamping on your card. I decided to combine two stamps, a sentiment from CE and a background flower stamp from a magazine a few years ago.

Before stamping and embossing the sentiment I graduated inks over the stamping, colouring in the leaves and flowers. I then used some ombre paper mirroring the colours and black card to frame the design.

Two prizes from AALL and Create 1) Rose stamp, stencil and ephemera 2) Floral stamp and stencil

Two beautiful cards Lynn. I love the layered cutting of the main image, I must try that! My favourite though is the second one - gorgeous colouring on the pretty background stamp and brilliant use of the ombré background xx

Two such gorgeous creations Lynn, I love them both. I haven't used that technique that you have used on the poppy card for a long time. I adore the colour hue on the second one.
