Gatsby inspired
This is a page in my AJ that I created for the Gecko Galz January challenge, which is to make something Gatsby inspired with a GG image. I used an image from the GG newsletter and then framed it with a GG frame duplicating it three times. I put a border around the main frame to give the illusion of depth. I placed the whole thing onto another image by GG. The image began as a jewelled heart image which I colourised, cropped and then enlarged.
I used gesso on my page and then left over ink, stencilled over with a CC stencil in DI chipped sapphire. The die cuts are from an old Tonic set cut from mirri card.
I managed to fit my dies onto this snippet of mirri card. After I took this photo I realised I didn't have the outer cutting die in place for the largest die. I still managed to squeeze it on - just!
So, I am popping over to the Snippets Playground to link up there also. I was very lucky to win in the first Christmas mystery prize draw, so I will only be playing for fun and to support the challenge.
