Hexagon fractured card

After making my fractured cards last week, I decided to use a hexagon rather than a square. That was my first mistake lol!

I knew I had seen on Miss Di's blog a card with a hexagon, what I didn't remember until I went back and found the card (here) was that she used a die. How sensible that decision was, because making this was a nightmare. But, I persevered and this is the result.

Unlike when you use a square and the angles are all so easy to fill, with this the angles are all over the place. So, I had to cut my snippets and try and fit them into the areas. I've added some faux stitching this time, just because I thought it might distract from how bad it actually is!

The simple way to have done this (apart from buy a die!) would have been to just use one sheet of paper and place the black strips and hexagon on top of it. That would not have used any snippets though.

I've already entered in the Playground this week so I am entering this card into Elliebelle's Crafty Wednesday January challenge where as usual it is Anything Goes.

Well done for persevering with this - think I'll stick with squares (or buy a die) - life's too short for lots of measuring 🤣🤣

I think that is the trouble that I thought you would have with the squares, but I can see now that squares would be easy. Considering how hard you found it, I think you have done an excellent job xx
