Stencil and splatters

Where did this week go? I've been meaning to blog for a few days and the time has just got away from me. Anyway, I am here with my entry for the Stencil Fun Challenge with the option of splatters.

I used the reverse stencil technique for my card (similar to Josephs Coat technique) with a AALL & Create stencil. But then the black looked a little overpowering. So I faux bleached it a little and finally decided on some white gesso splatters which I think lightened it a little better.

I used a new sentiment die from Sue Wilson and split it in half, mounted onto vellum. I hot foiled the sentiment using my laminator, but now wondering if it looks any different to being cut from mirri card?

A double mount using two of the colours from the stencilling.

Lovely card, Lynn. The vibrant flowers look great against the dark background.

Love the colourful stencilling against the black backdrop - plus the splatters and gold foiled sentiment! Great card x
