birthday wishes with snippets

I had a white snippet of card that I was playing around with. I watered down different Distress inks and ran them down the card. Then I embossed the sentiments onto it and that was it! Until I got it out of the box the other day, and thought about what I could do with it.

I added the little butterfly/script stamp by Lesia Zgharda which I had come across looking for something else. I then decided maybe this could be made into a card. I added a little stencilling in blue then looked in the snippets box and found this rose metallic card. I then used a new sheet (!) of Pink petticoat paper free with a magazine many years ago.

My frame(s) is a new 6x4 one from Maximum Crafts, but was only available as part of a kit. You can see the outer cut frame has a subtle embossed pattern on it which I thought complemented the design on the sentiment.

Because I hadn't set out to make a  card, my little snippet didn't fit into the die frame aperture. So I filled it with the piece left over from cutting the frame (had to trim slightly) then mounted my snippet into the middle of it.

Taking this card to the Snippets playground. No photos of my snippets, sorry. I got caught up in the creative process.

Love the pretty distress background for your butterfly and sentiment, and how beautifully it coordinates with the frames and floral paper x

The soft inky background works perfectly behind the pik frames Lynn.

You've used up your partly finished Snippets in a pretty and creative way. Love the large 'birthday' word and the embossing gives the frames added interest
