WISH

This card started out as a snippet of white card, upon which I decided to stamp some multi coloured candles from a PB sentiment set. I'm not sure I had used the candles and wondered if I could make a design with them. The snippet then sat on my desk for a few weeks as I could not find inspiration to make it into a card.

I recently bought the spellbinders hot foil sentiment stamps and had used some rainbow foil for one and that was my first idea that these two could work together. A few sheets of designer paper later I eventually settled for one which was part of a prize from the Snippets Playground a few years ago.

The sentiment looked lost on the candle background so I began to look through my sentiment dies and found the MFT WISH die. I cut it out from the middle of the stamped snippet and then layered onto some red metallic card and then onto a snippet of black card. Each layer I used a TL die for the holes around the edges. I cut the flame from the sentiment from gold mirri card and inserted into the die cut. Adding the sentiment I originally was going with at the bottom where I think it looks better.

This was originally going to be a 6x4 card and ended up 7x7!

I'm off to the Snippets Playground with my card. I was the very lucky winner of the draw this week - thanks ladies. I'm also popping over to The Neglected Stuff Challenge as the WISH die has not had an outing for a few years.

I've been prompted to also play at a new challenge to me Word Power challenge- where the sentiment has to be the focus of the card. It's another challenge run by Darlene and Diane - how do they do it?
