B for Butterfly and a Bloom

It's a mid month reminder with my two DT cards for the challenges at Stamping Sensations  and We Love Stamping. To see how I made each card see below.

The first card is for the challenge at Stamping Sensations where we have an optional theme of Birds, Bees, Butterflies chosen by Carol or you can use Anything goes. I've gone with the Butterfly theme. This is a beautiful stamp called Lace Butterfly by Jamie Rodgers, which I just had to have. It's taken a while for me to get around to inking it up, but now I have I can't stop! I used several tones of blue/pink/purple inks on the stamp. I fussy cut around the butterfly and then stamped the antennae onto the card. Handy that it is a separate stamp.

For the background I used a round gelli plate and an AALL & Create stencil #207 minimalist. I printed twice to get also the inverse of the stencil with different colours. I cut it out using a TL hole circle die. The base card is decorated with a stencil from CC and the hot foil sentiment is from Spellbinders.

We have two prizes of Lavinia stamps and stencil (photos not to scale). (Please note, we (Lavinia) cannot provide exchanges/replacements/refunds for any products received through this third-party giveaway).

The second card is for We Love Stamping where Hilary has chosen the theme of flowers (or anything goes).  I used the same stamp set as I did at the beginning of the month - Stampers Anonymous  Bold Botanicals. This time I used one of the other flowers from the set and stamped using purple ink directly onto pink card. I then matted and layered using a retired TL pearl dot die set. The stamped sentiment is an old Gummiapan one.

Our prize this month is a £25 store voucher from Personal Impressions (inc pps, winner meets costs of any additional spend). Personal Impressions is one of the UK’s leading brand managers/wholesalers/distributors in the arts and crafts industry, specialising in mixed media, papercrafts, card-making, scrapbooking and journaling. PI are proud to represent over 70 brands from global, recognisable brands to small, niche and new.

Both cards are beautiful Lynn, the lace butterfly is so delicate and intricate, lovely design and colour choice. The bold flower on your WLS card is so striking, looks great in pink and purple.
