Treat cups

Our new challenge begins today at Allsorts. Christine is our host and she has chosen the optional theme of Christmas. You can also use Anything Goes if you prefer.

I bought these TH dies many years ago but only used them a couple of times because they are so fiddly. I found the treat cups I had bought at the same time and thought I had better make them into some Christmas cards, before I lost the ability to work with dies so small!

The first one I also made my own sentiment for the card and stencilled snowflakes on the base card.

The second one uses another couple of stencils and a very old sentiment set from Paula Pascale.

We have two prizes this time of stamps, stencils dies.

I'm entering my first card into The Neglected Stuff challenge. The treat cups were well and truly neglected as I bought them about 6 years ago. The TH dies have not been used for a long time either.

Great cards for the challenge and I bet it feels good to use neglected items. I really like TH dies but have to agree that many of them are incredibly fiddly to assemble. Worth it though for the end result 😊

I know what you mean about the tiny dies, I have a few and although they look lovely assembled they can take ages to put together- and I always manage to lose bits of them, such tiny bits of paper- there one second, completely disappeared the next, I must inhale them or something! Your cards look fabulous though so worth the effort. Lovely stencilling too.

Both great CAS cards, love the stencilled snowflakes and the snow-globes with all the cute little die-cut images.

These are fabulous, so cute with the small size and like your faint stenciled background it draws your eyes to the cute globes!

Both are so beautiful and I love the stenciling on the background! I purchased some fiddly Christmas dies last year and haven't brought myself to use them yet even though I was so excited to get them! I do need to get them out soon though!!

Well done for sticking with the tiny elements Lynn as both turned our so nicely. Feel like I should reach out and tip them upside down like a snow globe.

Me too Lynn... I love the look of detailed dies but lack the patience of putting them together wielding the tweezers! Both cards are really nice, the soft background and those lovely cups make them extra special. x

Two lovely cards Lynn with pretty snowflake edging. I am someone who likes using little dies as I find it very relaxing to put them together.

You must have the patience of a saint to handle all those teeny tiny die cut pieces, but well worth the effort because they look incredible!! xx
